No 6000k is like aqua blueish green My 8000k are Blue (IMHO the best looking color) and the 1000k is purple the other numbers I'm not sure about unless they are just plain bright white.

rolly, do you have picks of your 8000k, both lit on your car and just bulb only? I have the 6000k but may want to try a higher kelvin to get a different look. Thanks!

One thing about going with a higher kelvin: the higher you go, the less usable light you will have. Think of a black light, the light may be there, but no matter how bright it is, you can hardly see it. 4K-6K is the best range for functionality. 8k still works but some light is lost. When you get into the 10K-12K, things can get questionable, especially in wet weather. Just something to keep in mind.

D2R
R meaning reflector
this is a very good site with LOTS of info on HID lighting.
http://faq.auto.light.tripod.com/hl-hid-bulbs.htm
You will notice a difference with the 6000k, it has a hint of blue.....the 8000k will be a pretty DEEP blue
Those will attract attention by possible local police....so hopefully it is not an expensive mod you have to take out.....if you go with 8000k, get a good pair of foglights with yellow light to compensate in the rain

Shouldn't go anything higher than 6000k because you start experiencing light output degradation. Even at 6000k when it rains hard or the road is really deep dark black, it sucks in the color and it's hard to see anything.
