Hi all

I just picked up a cl-s 2001. My question is I can just do an hid conversion on there which i have new ballasts and hid lights right? I know theyre already hid's which come stock...but i want to convert them to the ones on hid-sin.com . please help. i searched under the forums for hid conversion etc, but they dont specfically talk about anyone else doing an aftermarket hid conversion? thanks again in advanced

or plan b....since they are stock hids on there already, can i just get the d2r 8000k bulb from somewhere? i know hid conversion kits come with their own wiring....i might prefer to just switch the entire kit. please let me know if there are writeups to an aftermarket conversion along with pictures.

u dont need to switch the entire kit... go on ebay and type in "D2R 8000k" I just picked up a set of bulbs buy it now for about 30 bucks w/shipping. The HID system in your CL is going to be better if not just as good as any aftermarket system. By just buying the bulbs you will save yourself a lot of money and time. Good luck!

 

actually I take it back... the HID system in our CL is not so hot... myself and others share issues w/bad ballasts... I guess what I'm trying to say is save urself the time and just buy the bulbs. it will look just as good as aftermarket.

yea if you say they look just like aftermarket ones and that bright...i guess i can just get the bulbs.... im use to the conversion because i owned a 98 prelude.... and the bulbs were wired with the kit...but since the acura cl comes with hid ballasts, i guess i can get the bulbs only? ...my prelude hids were SUPER bright from hid-sin.com
