Question Hawk HP+ worth it?

So my brake pads are wearing and I'm thinking maybe I could try the Hawk HP+ pads . The problem I have is justifying paying almost twice as much for those pads as for the stock Acura pads I usually get. I know a lot of you guys say the stock brake setup sucks and whatnot but I just need an opinion. Would the increased stopping power/ durability of the Hawk HP+ pads justify spending almost twice as much as stock pads?

From what I've read those pads suck. If your going to do rotors at a later date then get stock pads for now. Your going to want to do rotors & pads at the same time. No sense in spending $ now for good pads.

I think those pads give off a LOT of dust, and they don't work well until you get them hot. Get EBC or Rotora or some other less expensive but good pads.

Get Performance Friction pads. They have great stopping power and a lifetime warranty. I swapped them out 2x on my SHO for free. I know one guy that had replaced them 6 times for free when they had worn (he has over 300k miles on his car).

I'm about to put Performance Friction on my CL-S in the next week or two. They only run about $30-$40 for a set. I think Autozone just calls them PF. I'll let you know how they work out.

on the accord i had hawks F+R, ss lines and motul fluid.. it was a good setup i almost left my teeth in the steering wheel when i hit the brakes in the begining when i wasnt used to the set up

if you bed the pads in PROPERLY you will be happy for street use.

I have been happy with the Hawk HPS pads as well. Once you use bed them in, they only have a light pink dust which really isn't that noticeable. Stopping is definitely better than stock.
