what are the differences? seems like dr2 cost more. reason why i ask is cuz the oem audi hids i got off ebay have d2s osram bulbs. thanks. i know niether the 1st or 2nd gen cl has projector headlamps so will the bulb matter in this case? oem cl hid is dr2. should i get d2r instead?

 

i have a pair of D2R bulbs im selling for 65 shipped if you're interested. hehe


i believe D2S is designed for a Projector housing and the D2R is designed for a reflector housing. The D2R has a ceramic coating on the top part of the bulb that helps with the cutoff point i believe. The D2S has no coating.

 

Neither the bulb differences are to accomodate different headlamp assemblies and different reflector technology.Jens

 

D2R = Reflector (Acura CL)
D2S = Projector (BMW 3)

They are Osram Xenarc D2R bulbs.

 

if i cant get my hands on a projector from an audi or somethin ill be in touch. ill be gettin the parts on fri so ill mess around with the dr2 bulb. then i got to decide if i try dr2 or custom fit projector in my 1st gen housing
