Welcome. Most of the guys seem to prefer the AEM long unit CAI. Recommend using the search function this site offers. Hours of reading. Chod the Whacko has an encyclopedic info section, again, recommended reading. Good luck. Sieze ya.

AEM Cold Air Intake. Go to www.autocarparts.com I think they are like $199.87 over there and def. get the Bypass valve for $49.95 more. Also please don't spend 11 hours installing it. (You will find out what this means if you stick around long enough.)

BTW, Welcome.

you don't need the bypass valva, just don't drive in puddles of water.

imo the bpv negates the whole purpose of the CAI, as it allows the intake to draw hot air from the engine bay. and what astro said.

I went with the CIA and i have a bypass. I honestly still feel a difference and like the assurance that it gives. Everyone here has thier own ideas and opinions on every mod but either way its up to you. Congrats on the new car and welcome aboard.

Welcome..

I would highly recommended the AEM CAI, and yes it does come in SIlver..

The bypass is not necesary, but many people like the insurance of having it... I live in Chicago and do not have the bypass...

Just don't hit any deep puddles or drive through any rivers...

The bypass valve remains CLOSED unless the filter is blocked by water so it will NOT be drawing ANY hot air from under the hood in daily use.

I have mine for peace of mind.
I would rather pay 30-bucks for it instead of a couple of grand plus labor to replace a dead motor.

And, if you plan on lowering the car, that puts you that much closer to possible water ingestion.

hmmm...go over to www.autocarparts.com and compare PNs....ehehehhe...I know its been said...cant say off the top of my head....btw, the bypass loses some of the power...that is a known fact...and even AEM has all but confessed to that fact...."do not use at racetracks" is their answer.....
