Here it is ... the fruit of my labor ...

The face plate is still a prototype ... It will be fixed and touched up to leave no gap.

The first pic looks okay, but the 2nd pic looks kinda empty. probably good to get thieves away.

that looks pretty good!
i dont like how the eq shows when the screen is closed up

isnt there a wood dash kit available? you should try getting JUST the head unit piece and cut it to fit around that other plastic. it'll look factory

whats that thing on the left panel?

I was just going to comment on the Equalizer as well. its a dead give away that you have a sound system if you can see the equalizer man. you gotta do something about that too. instead of putting all your time into that, put some time into getting a security system that is linked directly to the cops, heh.

If I lose the EQ then I lose control to my system. Thanks for the dask kit idea, I was thinking about it but I dont know if it's worthed to pay that much for the kit.

I was thinking about moving the EQ back 1/2 in. then remove the face from stock radio and set it on top whenever the screen's closed ... that would definately look stock and it's doable.

That thing on the left panel is the portable DVD player to play DVD. I'm still working on the housing for it.

Thanks for all of your inputs ... please keep them coming ... I need more ideas to perfect this project.

The carbon fiber insert is nice...wouldn't it be cool to have a custom-made blackwood plate? I am sure those who manufactur aftermarket kits for the CL-S could whip something up..
