Help wiring ESM

http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pub...903023003A.pdf

ESM Black -> PCM C7 (Grn/Wht)
ESM Red -> PCM C19 (Yel/Red)
ESM Green -> PCM C17 (Grn/Red)
ESM Blue -> map sensor (Grn/Red)

I’m confused… according to the diagram there’s only 3 wires from the map sensor. Wiring the black red and green from the ESM to the PCM connections I’m fine with but it’s the blue wire from the ESM to the map sensor I’m confused about… where do I spice into? Do I splice into the same wire ESM green is spliced to or is that a whole different Grn/Red wire? or am i to cut the wire apart and have the green connected to one end and the blue to the other end having the ESM in the middle of this connection?

MY ESM is used and so i have only the 4 colored wires (1) green (1)blue (1) reds and (1)blacks
is it neccessary to to have the (1) green (1)blue (2) reds and (2)blacks as shown in the CT installation manual?

Can anyone confirm that the ESM is to be in between these wires as shown below?

PCM C17 (Grn/Red) <- Green ESM Blue -> Map Sensor (Grn/Red)
PCM C7 (Grn/Wht) <- Black ESM Black -> Map Sensor (Grn/Wht)
PCM C19 (Yel/Red) <-Red ESM Red -> Map Sensor (Yel/Red)

Do you have a copy of the ESM instructions? Take a look at page 3 which shows the various connectors, pinouts, and wire colors.

Right Click the link below and select "Save Target As"

PCM C7 (Grn/Wht) <- Black ESM Black -> Map Sensor (Grn/Wht)
PCM C19 (Yel/Red) <-Red ESM Red -> Map Sensor (Yel/Red)
Basically the ESM goes in series into the (Grn/Red) wire to intercept and modify the signal. Green and Blue go between the (Grn/Red) wire. There should only be one (Grn/Red) wire to cut. Once cut, one end will connect to Green ESM and the other end will connect to Blue ESM.

ESM Blue > (Grn/Red) to MAP Sensor
ESM Green > (Grn/Red) to ECU

ESM Red and Black are connected parallel to (Yel/Red) and (Grn/White). All you're trying to do with the Red and Black ESM wires is to tap into the (Yel/Red) and (Grn/White).

Take a closer look at the picture on page 1 of the ESM installation instructions and let us know if this answers your question.
