Help - When Do I Use Z-5???

Need answers ASAP.

I can't seem to understand the instructions. Do I 1st apply Z2 with the ZFX accelerator, let dry wipe off, then apply Z5 Swirl and Scratch Remover? After I apply Z5 I can then apply Z-6 Gloss Enhancer Spray?

You can:

STEP A: Any of these (I probably missed a few):

1. Add Z5 to Z2 if you want to

2. Add Z5 to Z2 to ZFX if you want to (it will dry quicker)

3. Add Z5 to ZFX if you want to

(You wait until the stuff is dry and remove all of it. The amount of dry time will be different depending on various factors (amount of ZFX, temp outside, humidy, mix of Z2 to Z5, Z2 only, Z5 only, how fresh each is, etc.).

YOU CAN USE THE GLOSS SPRAY, IF YOU LIKE BETWEEN COATS!

STEP B:

1. You can stop:

2. Repeat Step A (More Zaino Z5, Z2, Z5 + Z2, etc with/without ZFX).

STEP C:

1. You can stop

2. 2. Repeat Step A (More Zaino Z5, Z2, Z5 + Z2, etc with/without ZFX).

and so on and so on and so on.

The Z5 will reduce the swirl marks in the finish. Generally speaking, the more you add, the more swirls you remove.

I have a silver car with no swill marks. However, I do have some very light scratches in the chrome that can be seen in some light. It is just way too easy to add a dab of Z5 to my Z2 to get rid of the scratches by using a very small "batch" of Z2 + Z5 + ZFX on my side window chrome to eliminate the problem. BTW, I asked Sal about this and he said that it was AOK.

Does this help?

Go to the following link for more info:

When you are using the ZFX, you don't need to wait 24 hours. However, you are limited to 3 coats in one 24 hour period when using the ZFX -- one without.

Finally, this is from the LaZaino site:

"5. After polishing off the Z-5 or Z-2 and before applying the next coat of Z-5 or Z-2 you should wait 24 hours if the outside temperature is under 70 degrees and 6 hours if over 70 degrees. If you’ve used ZFX with this coat, you don’t need to wait at all and may go ahead and apply another coat of ZFX immediately. If you are using ZFX you may apply up to 3 coats of Zaino polish per day.

6. Use Z-6 “Gloss Enhancer” before and after every coat of Zaino polish. It really helps give a three dimensional look. The antistatic properties of Z-6 will reduce dust and dirt pickup. Z-6 should be used immediately after removing Zaino polish and right before applying the next coat of Zaino Polish."

Wow, I never knew that I would add Z5 to the mix of Z2 + ZFX . I always thought that I would add it after I applied a coat of Z2 + ZFX and buffed it off.

I'll try it by mixing it like you said.
