have you ever drove diesel car not a truck ? in the europe where im from there is lots of diesel cars. VW group (Audi Seat Skoda VW) has TDI the biggest one is in Q7 500HP and 850NM but the most popular is 2.0 TDI 140HP which i used for a while. alot of tq but engine cuts rpms about 4-4.5k and it does save a gas. 50-65 mpg? its like 5 liters on 100km idk how much is it in mpg

I wasn't saying diesels in general suck. I love diesels. Im just reiterating what I had heard about Subarus new diesel. Then again, that was a review I had seen early last year, so things may have changed.

The Euro Civic Diesel gets great gas mileage (Jalopnik tested it in Chicago and got an average of 72mpg - link).

And why aren't there more diesels in the US? Oh yea, the EPA says so.
