help with sunglass holder door!

My girl slammed the sunglass holder door (near map lights over-head) now it maintains openned. Oh, also a little black five cent sized plastic wheel feel out of the mechanism.

Any suggestions on how to take apart and repair?

I should tie her hands when she rides in my car! I you guys only knew how hard she slams the doors!

yea! what gives...its a import, not a homegrown heavy body domestic...just a slight tug and it'll close, as long as the other door is open....

Since its so airtight, I always leave my door open when anyone gets in, that way I can pull it hard right before it hits the seals and you get that little bit of backpressure and the passenger isn't confused or had to be told to close the door a certain way.

Seriously, it's a CAR, not a Ming vase... You pull your door in to prevent the passenger from slamming it too hard? If they're realling being stupid enough to throw it so hard as to cause damage, TELL THEM.

I did the exact same thing to my sunglass holder. I brought in the little black wheel to my Acura dealer and asked how I could fix the problem. They said that I'd need to get a whole new sunglass holder but it would be fully covered under warranty. Since they paid the bill, I never bothered to find out if I could actually fix it myself. Maybe you should see if your dealer will cover it.
