I am having hesitations on my 6-speed. The hesitations seem to be random and it isn't a everyday occurance. I am wondering if anyone else is having this problem or had this problem and fixed it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Gonna need more info than that....when does it occur - lower part of first gear? upper second gear? Low speeds? High speeds? cold engine? warm engine?
I know I have never felt any kind of hesitation, other than that little 1 second stumble that happens 5 mins after driving from a cold start. If thats what you're refering to, then I wouldn't worry about it. As far as I know its pretty normal. A lot of other ppl on here say they have it but no one really said what it is. Some kind of diagnostic check maybe?

TQ > MPG
I get the same thing 6mt istalking about. I think typer said a long time ago the car went way lean just for a millisecond, as he was monitoring it with his a/f, or something like that.
I only get it like 1-2 times a week in the winter, and it almost always happens in light throttle in 4th or 5th gear. I'm not too worried about it though. Now if it happens all the time, take it to the dealer, cuz if u can replicate it they can try to fix it.

I get the exact same thing. It generally happens while simply cruising in 4th, 5th etc. I have noticed it to be more frequent when I have accelerated moderately quickly and then shift into 4th, 5th, etc. to start cruising at a constant speed. A little split second blip will occur within the first 5 seconds of cruising.
I have had a couple of instances of consecutive blips over a 4-5 mile period - just cruising around 70 mph then a short loss of power for a split second. Then everything was fine for another mile or 2, then another blip.
I took it to the dealer and they replaced a sensor (I don't remember the name at this time). I will follow up on the name. This however, seemed to make it better, but I have still noticed 2 slight blips times since the replacement of the sensor. So I'm not sure if this totally fixed it.

I always thought this happens because we have electronically controlled throttle... is that true?
If so, I don't like this electronically controlled throttle thing.
Once a blue moon the car won't do what you expect it to do.
It's like telling a 60yr old man that used to race Camaro's and Cuda's back in 60s that he's better off in a car with stability control, whereas he prefers to let his feet and hands do 100% of the driving.

We've got the standard throttle controlled by cable.

OK, thanks, I guess that's not why we get the hesitation then!

I have noticed the same thing. Mine usually happens when the engine is not up to full temp and I'm going a steady speed in 3rd or 4th. A slight hesitation but it's hard to tell sometimes since the roads around here are so torn up from winter. I'm going to put in new spark plugs and do an engine de-carb/fuel system service to see if this alleviates the problem.

DON'T TREAD ON ME
haha, okay... now that i paid attention and looked for it, sure enough, mine did it after about 5 mins. just a split second.
pretty strange that acura hasn't addressed it.
