HELP! removing spark plugs

Anyone have any tips on removing the back three spark plugs? The 2001 CL-s has the plugs hidden in the back. Any help would be great.

PS I have 110,000 miles on the original plugs. They were still ok, but the tips were a bit short.

110,000 miles! Wow that may be the most miles on any CLS

I origionally thought that changing out the rears were hard, no not at all. All that u need to do is remove the Actuator, 5 mins. Be sure to use a spark plug socket, so that the sparkies don't fall in the engine bay. And if they are somewhat tough to get out use some WD40.

Oh and when u replace the new ones don't forget to install teh new ones with anti-sieze compound on the threads and silicone on in the socket boot for the sparkies.

I didn't remove the actuator to get to the back plugs, but that probably makes it easier. It really isn't that difficult. You just have to be able to sqeeze your arm down there, and lay on the engine at times.

It was a pain manipulating your arm at times, but it will eventually work... ain't that right, Danny?

Danny helped me do mine.

Thanks!

It was much easier when I removed the actuator bypass valve and an oil line.

On a seperate post, I will send a picture of the original, 110K, plug.

Thanks!
