The acceleration is a whole lot better. It pulls hard all the way 'til the redline. The exhaust note changed a bit though. It's noticeably deeper but not ricey. I love these headers. I'm thinkin' now that I should've had a before and after Dyno done though.
i got that cover. 2 or 3 weeks ago i got a baseline, and on wed i'll get an after. there's a dyno deal over here in portland. just 29.99 for 3 runs.

Try various years (01 through 03) and try the automatic tranny... the O2 price varies!

Rezurex, I'm sure you'll take the WRX once you get it fixed
Where did you get the headers installed at?

Yes replace them ASAP. Not good for your cat. Also during closed loop mode your ECU is not gonna be happy.

Did you pull the engine code?

It's cake to do - just pop the console under the ashtray and bust out the paperclip.

I just did OBX Headers on my 01 CLP and got a CEL after I was done. I had some trouble putting the O2 sensor into the collector, so I thought I had screwed it up.

I pulled the code just to check - and it was a 2nd sensor code - AKA - the sensor on the CAT was F'd up.

I didnt do anything to it, so I looked at where the cat sensor plugs in at. It's located right underneath where the hinges are on the passenger side door. One of the little wires had slipped out of the clip. I took a small flathead and pushed it back into place. It made a nice little "click". Reset the ECU - all was well.

You might check this out - if you haven't already......

I skipped thru the thread and didn't see any references to pulling the code....
