HELP with NOISE!!!

I have a strange wopping noise in the front of my CL. It sounds like a bent rim or a flat spot in a tire, but I just put new tires on and had the rims checked. The sound is worst at low speeds and it increases when I turn to the left and decreses when I turn to the right. Does anyone know what it could be. I am thinkin wheel bearings or cv joints. HELP PLEASE!!!!

It could be an out of round wheel. A wheel that is out of round will still balance fine....you actually have to watch it spin....preferrably just the rim without the tire on it. When CV joits go bad, they usually clunk....and sometimes they leak.

I watched the rim on the balance machine and it was fine. I even rotated them. Thanks for the response.

Did you have your cars alignment checked when you put the new tires on? Are they the same tire size as the the tires you had on prior?

Very possible you had uneven wear on your last tires, and your alignment is focked. Now your hearing the tread wearing on the pavement unevenly. Which can make a nasty noise.

The old tires were worn evenly and the car does not pull like it is out of alignment. The noise is almost like having a square tire but the sounds comes from inside the car not outside. Thanks for the reply.

sure

your car doesn't have to be pulling to be out of alignment.

Did you purchase the same tires? And or same size?
