Help me with not gettin screwed by acura.

Help me with not gettin screwed by acura.

My check engine light is on and also my pass. seat electronics are not working.
sooo when I take my car in to acura, what do I tell them if they give me a problem about my springs?

This Acura probably never heard of computech(I wouldnt be suprised if they tried to tell them my WHOLE warranty is void because of my springs)

Since I have springs what is voided?
I also had some strobe lights wired professionaly, I wouldnt be surprised if they told me this is why my seat is not working.

I would tell them unless they can prove that the malfunction is a direct result of the mod, they cant void the warranty.

I would tell them they shouldnt have a problem replacing somthing since they get paid for labor (by acura) and get reimbursed for the parts.

I read that some guys get their waranty voided, and the ones that give em HELL dont get voided.

What do I need to know and what would be my best arguments?

Could my seat prob just be a blown fuse, and thats why my cel light is on

Please help this is pretty important. dont want to be screwed.

Why don't you see what they find wrong first. Then see what they say.

I would just bring it in to the dealership and see what they say. Since the problems you've got have nothing to do with the ride height of your car, I can't see them giving you the shaft.

Now, if you were saying that something w/ the suspension was messed up, then they might be able to make a case.

Mods will only void the warrenty if the dealership can prove that the mods caused the problem.

... and if they do hassle you, just take it to a more mod friendly Acura dealership.

Two dealerships in Portland, OR told me that Comptech parts (not even headers)do not void the warranty. And it is the only after market parts that they will install. So take your car to the dealer already.

you know what we need is like a printable version of the magnuson-moss act that can be printed out and slapped in any dealers faces when stupid shit like this happens. the words of us customers is usually taken with a grain of salt by pompous dealers....if we could show them proof and documentation of the magnason moss act with the applicable parts HIGHLIGHTED, it would be so easy to deal with the asshole dealers and they wouldnt have shit to say about it.

Agreed.. just bring it in and don't worry about until something comes up. Life's too short to worry about "what ifs". You're getting all concerned over something that probably won't even happen.
