Help. Hood will not open.

My hood won't open for some reason. I pulled on the lever and nothing happens. Is there anyway to get the hood open or fix this problem? Let me know thanks.

Sounds like the cable broke. I have no clue how to open it without it.

Try pulling the lever and leaving it out. Then, go to the front of the car and push down on the middle of the hood above the latch, it may release. If it does, you should probably lubricate your trunk release and your lever cable inside the car. If your cable broke, hit the dealer.

4 seats means 4 seats not 4 seats and one on the hood

Try to get to the latch from underneath the car. You should see the spring loaded assembly from underneath, put a screw driver up to the side of the arm that holds the hood latch, and whack the screw driver with a hammer to compress the spring and release the latch. Used to do that all the time on my Lincoln due to heavy rusting.

Dealer or mechanic should be able to do this for you if you can't.

Good luck.
