your decision shouldnt be difficult anymore considering that your tranny is toast AGAIN. I dont see how your wife would not be convinced to get rid of the CL now.........

Is that a Type S WITH NAVIGATION??

Best I've seen anyone post is around that same price for one WITHOUT Navi.

Also, you are comparing a 2001 to 2003. That isn't a real comparison. The cost of cars has gone up in 2 years. In 1999, I got my Audi A6 Quattro for $35,250 plus tax and tags. In 2003, the cheapest you could touch one with the options I have is about $41,000 if you get a great deal.

This is a BRAND NEW 2003 CL I am buying.
The sticker on the Acura-CL Type S with Navi is $33,200. The dealer invoice on the car is $30,639. Unless there are huge dealer incentives, or rebates, or the car is a demo, they aren't going much below $30,000 unless they are screwing with numbers on paper with a trade in or something....they would lose money, and no dealer will ever lose money on a car. They may only make a couple hundred dollars on a deal, or if they know you maybe even break even, but they aren't going to take a loss. I know there was $1000 dealer incentive, and so they made $360 on the deal. I have no problem with that....I don't give away things for free, and I wouldn't expect them to either. I just don't want to get ripped off....which, as far as I'm concerned, I didn't.

Why not look for an used S2K?? That is what I'm doing now, found a bunch of 01 and 02's with decent milage for well under 25K.

I'm hoping to get myself in one before the summer is over...

Hmmm, What was the dealer incentive??? Was there a NAVI??? Type-s???

I don't think there are many people here that would say $29,999 for an '03 CLS6/NAVI is a rip off. What were the details of your deal then??? And when you mean out the door, you are saying $29,500 for a car INCLUDING tax??? That means you got the car for $27830???

Doubtful. But would like to see all the same...

i came from an s2000. And let me tell you..its a fast car. But does NOT have the torque of teh CL.. the CL feels like its fast...but teh S2000 only sounds the part till vtec at 6k.. Mine had exhaust, toda flywheel, springs..my best run was 13.8 @ 100. My best run stock in the cl is 14.3 so not bad. That car also brought me alot of problems. new tranny. inner cv axles...etc. Its hand built ..soo the human mistake is more common that robots doing the same thing. Hey if yo uwant it..its fast..handles great..and is eye candy to the girls....good luck on whatever you do....

i was lucky and never had tranny problems, but it was one of the reasons i trade my cl in. if your now on your 3 tranny that would be enough for me to never own a acura car again.

i'm in the process of dumping cl no.2 i just haven't decide on what yet. the Audi A6 4.2 has caught my eye.

go for the s2k you won't be disappointed.
