Help: Florida Here I come, But I Need a spare tire to fit over brakes

Well guys,I'm gonna be going down to florida in Januaryfor an internship and I'm taking my car with me. I Need a spare tire to fit over my Brembo kit.

I'm looking for light weight 17". This will also be a part of a pair of wheels for the track. So I will be getting a drag radial on my spare.

Any informaton on a tire that will clear my brakes would be great. I'm on a budget also guys, I'm looking to spend around 150 a rim. So any forged SSR or Rays is out of the question. Thanks

Have you been out to the track yet? What type of times were you able to get with your car?

If you blow a flat in the front

why not just get an extra jack.... take the rear tire off... put it on the front.. and put the spare rinky dink on the rear..

save you alot of money if your budget is tight.

Rota Subzeros are $150 a rim in 18". Weighing in at only 19lbs.

SSR compentitions is what you want. The 17X8's also clear the brembo kit, willwood kit, & the Rotora kit without spacers. Think you can only get then new from Tirerack.

I always thought it wasn't a good idea to run the spare on the front wheels of a FWD car.

You are gonna have a hard time finding something to fit your needs within your price range unless you buy used.

This is a good idea. You can also just jack the car up at the jacking point behind the front wheel and both front and rear wheels on that side will come off the ground. I would never want to drive very far with the little spare on the front.
