HELP!!! Did I install CAI right?

Hey everyone,

Got my AEM CAI this afternoon and HAD to install it. Got dark and had a hell of a time installing it.

I'm not too familiar with cars, but know how to do all the basic, so I thought I could do this one. Well I think I have it right, but need some reassurance before I fire 'er up!

I'm confused as to the different hoses. Stock, there's a 1/2" hose/pipe going from the front of the engine near the oil cap to the intake. There's also a 5/16" hose/pipe partially connected to the 1/2" pipe going from way inside the engine up over the intake and down to a connector. (Sorry for the lame choice of words) Should I have removed all of these and replaced with the ones AEM provided? There's also a gray 5/16" hose that goes from the intake to the back of the engine. I disconnected that from the stock and used it in the exact same place on the AEM. Is this correct?

Here's some pictures....please let me know if this is correct!

BTW, some coolant leaked out when I undid the one 5/16" hose...is that okay?

THANKS!!!

Well I got a Xephyr intake, so I didn't have to mess around with any of those hoses, but I've done an AEM CAI on an integra ... where we had to do the hoses. I remember coolent leaking, and yes, change all the hoses to the ones that AEM provided, they should all fit in their respective places. Maybe somebody with an AEM for the Type S can help more ...

everything looks fine, although you might want to route the coolant hose around back into of over the vsa throttle body. by the way did you have alot of room left inthe sapce where inthe filter goes.? does it bump up against the "foglight"?

What would the benefit be of routing the hose that way?

The filter is pretty tight in there. It't not touching the driving lights, but there's barely any clearance below it.

yeah...run the hose through the back....looks cleaner...then couple it with plastic tie with the hose that runs almost parallel with it after you reinstall it...the coolant also freaked me out too...it was getting all over the parts below it
