HELP CT SC on TL from CL 6-speed question!

I'm sure you guys would know...

since the TL has VSA, the throttle body is different so would the CT SC kit from a 6-speed need to be modded to fit? or would it bolt right in with no modifications etc.?

Thanks in advance

Don't quote me, but I think the Shaft is a different length. In that case, you can't use it.

I believe the only difference is the elbows needed on the intake side. Since the Auto has the extra TB, the plumbing to the airbox is different. The actual blower mount should be the same.

Search, this has been covered.

Fan shroud in addition to the items mentioned by hemhaw. ESM voltage adjustment too.

Same Jackshaft. The blower is common on both.

Hmm thats what Sean told me but looking at some pics myself it does seem that they are the same.

In that case you might even be able to get away with the same elbow so long as the studs and bolts go through and the outlet size on the elbow is pretty much the same.

You'd have a left over FPR unless you want to use it instead of the crush mod that the TL guys have to do to up the FP.

The intake system is different but you can just go custom there too.

The ESM voltage I think is around 3.0V maybe a tad higher, instead of the 2.93V, I forgot what it was exactly but I remmeber seeing it on the Greddy Emanage MAP voltage map.

The belt is different obviously since it runs off the PS instead of the ALT.

Call up COmptech and ask them for a pdf file of the parts list to be emailed to you, that should help out too.

So whats the answer? Last time I checked, the TL SC lines up with a different pulley than the CL, and as we all know, every mm matters with the lineing up, so either the shaft is a different length or the mounting brackets are different.

I dont know why they would line it up with different belts as they are the same motor. Only thing i can think of is due to the VSA??

It's the same blower on both the 2nd gen CL and TL. The 3rd gen TL is a different belt setup as you point out but I'm sure it can be retrofitted with the right SC Pulley.

The pulleys at least on paper are the same size so I figure you would just need another belt.

well, here's a pic of the SC on the CL, and if someone can post one of the TL, you'll see what I'm talking about. Just to mention, we're talking about the 2nd Gen CL and 3rd Gen TL, right?

I stand corrected. I found a picture of a 3G TL SC and the nose on the SC shaft looks different.
