Help. Blinking Security lights on door no longer light up

As the title states on my 03 CLS6 the little blinking red light on the door doesnt light up any more when I activate the OEM alarm. It locks the doors but the sec led no longer blinks red. Any suggestions guys? Thanks in advance.

Havent seen you around man, hows it going?

Check the plug behind the door panel. Its an LED and shouldnt blow out. But they could.

if the alarm is still working, check the wires behind the panel.

Sup Morgan. Thanks for the speedy responses fellas. My alarm is not activating. The remote only locks and unlocks the doors, but the panic button works. Is there a way that I can disconnect the alarm and restart it or something? Or reset the OEM alarm?

the alarm is not activating but the panic button works? try to set off the alarm by rolling down the window, lock the doors, come back a minute later and unlock the door manually from the inside. if the alarm goes off then its just the light. but if nothing happens, your alarm maybe faulty.

Nope no beep. And I tried what you said, so I take it my alarms faulty. I cant troubleshoot the alarm, like disconnect the brain, and reconnect?

That is true. The panic button works. I even tried to reprogram the remote, and nothing happens. You think I should try a new battery? I didnt think it was the battery because the lock/unlock work as well as the truck opener.

weird. The panic button works but activating the alarm with the car doesnt. Im guessing it has something to do with the security LED because the LED lights up when the alarm is activated. The LED and the alarm will not be on even if the doors are locked when one of the doors are ajar, the trunk is open or the hood is open. Thats about as much as I can help you with.

Ill be in NY for the whole weekend. I will be riding through NJ Sunday afternoon if you wanna meet up somewhere. Just checked my door locks. They are going all the way down. Question. If you guys lock your doors with the key will the led/alarm light activate as if the alarm is on?

now's your chance to upgrade the alarm. the OEM 'alarm' couldn't stop a girl scout from stealing your car

Im starting to wonder that myself. I think its a faulty switch. Since the doors lock, its either of those two.

I just checked the trunk and the hood. I cant seem to locate the switch for either location. Is it a pin that gets pushed down when the hood/trunk is closed that I can manually push with my hand? I just started my car and checked the little picture of the car on the dashboard. When I open the doors the picture of the door on the car light up open. Should that happen when the trunk and hood are open as well? The hood or trunk on the pic of the car does not light up when I open either of them.

I would think it a sensor/switch/broke or corroded wire in the trunk or the hood.
My trunk does not pop so If I pop by accident it looks closed and will do the same as your getting.
Some where there's got to be a loss of contact.

Most likely the hood switch if the trunk isnt showing open on the readout. The hood doesnt show anything on the dash.

I think the switch for the hood is in the lock assembly itself. The lock has an electrical connector on it.
