help anybody replace their wiper frame base

I would like to know if anybody here has replaced the metal base of their wiper blades. The metal on mine has began to rust and deteriorate so I tried doing this last year. I took them off an painted them black with brake caliper paint but it only lasted two months and flaked out/ peeled off.
Tried oriley/autozone and adavance auto nobody carries this part, just the wiper blades.

I am trying to make this look as new as possible, I have tried taking them off and hanging them on a wire while I spray down with my fav brake caliper paint but no success as of yet.

If u guys don't know what i am talking about, the pics below should help.

I had good luck with regular spray can paint. Just be sure to sand them well and get all the rust and crap off first.

Dealer should have the arms if you decide to replace them.

if you want them to look new you need to do the following

1. Remove and disassemble wiper assembly
2. sand them down to bare metal
3. PRIME them with with approperiate color primer (gray or black) 2 thin layers should suffice
4. after the primer dries, paint them flat or gloss black use multiple coats
5. clear coat them
6. bake them at 200F in your oven for 30 mins to cure them
7. reassemble and put back on car

Good instructions.

I would probably go with engine enamel but it may have a glossy appearance to it.

I am not sure it would last short of banking them at 400F plus. Engine enamel requires a fair amt of heat to cure.
