Alright guys, i need some help.. I have a 2001 Cl-S and 2 days ago my b***ast went on my driver side headlight. Now good 'ole acura wants to charge me over $500 for a new one and to inst*** it. What are my choices?!?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

If you've been going to this dealer for a while, ask them if they can goodwill the repairs. That's the only thing I can think of.

 

Thanks man.. sounds like a plan, the only problem is that i live ion pa and the acura dealer that i go to is obviously there. However, right now im in Florida!??! This sucks!!!!!

 

I think it's #13 in this picture. It's $300 from acuraautomotiveparts.org Ouch! Try a few dealers and see if one will do it for you.

 

Does anyone know if nissan or toyota use the same b***ast?!?! Or is there a kit that i can buy for about the same price or cheaper to replace both bulbs and b***asts?!

 

OEM ballasts are all made by Phillips.

Maybe you can check out a junkyard if there's one nearby? Just look them up in the phone book and give them a call. You might get lucky and be able to get a ballast there.

 

So another words i could get a b***ast from nissan if worse came to worse. The closet acura dealer to where i am is about 65 miles away, and ive been there about 4 times so far in a 7 day period im re***y not feeling like going there again, plus theyd have to order the b***ast which would take more time than i have.

Ok i broke down and paid the 601 bones it cost for the b***ast at Ferman Acura in Tampa. The b***ast ignites the bulb, or makes it light from what i understand?!?! Thanks anyways!

 

And once again.. i have no idea what the problem is with this computer!!!??!?

I hear you can find some maxima headlights to put in your car if you want, just stop off in NJ sometime, selling on every street corner in brunswick, NJ.
