Hella micro de fog install

Here are some pics of my hella micro de install. I've used the TL fog switch so that the interior looks stock and have PIAA Xtra Ion Crystal bulbs in the fogs. I really like the Lexus HID/yellow headlight/fog combo and I wanted to do something similar with my cl-s. I also made some custom grills for the lower vents. Tell me what you guys think! Oh, sorry about the pics, my digital camera is so crappy.

Very nice job. I have Micro De Xenons in my VW, they're great, I'm thinking about transfering them to my CL just like yours. Hella brand is the way to go in terms of quality and performance.

To put it in perspective, Hella manufactures and owns 90% of the worlds lighting along with Sylvania. Better R&D and quality.

Thanks NiteQwill. Not very hard of an install once you get the fogs mounted properly.

Nice! Enjoy!! Did you use yellow ION bulbs? What type??

I have the DE projector's aswell, think they are great. Mine are also hooked up via the TL switch, it's a pretty good combo!!

I wouldn't say that Hella is "BETTER" than PIAA, but without question they make HELLAGOOD stuff. Rock solid design that will last years of use-

Yeah they are the PIAA Xtra Ion Crystal bulbs. Like I said above, I really like our HID and the yellow combo and it works great in the rain/fog!

I have a 2003 CLS in my crosshairs, but it doesn't come with fog lights. I like what juve021 did with the fog lights (PIAA Xtra Ion Crystal bulbs - yellow) and custom grills. I know there can be an issue when it comes to bulbs that could melt the plastic down there, so what wattage did you use? It's been over three years since you did the work, if you still have the car, how has the fog lights worked out for you, especially the custom grills? With the toggle switch, I take it you don't have the constraint of having to use your low beam in order to use them? Do you have any pics of the toggle?
