Hell On Earth Is A Black Cl On A Hot Summer Day

Rolling around in a black exterior, black interior, and limo tints maybe the sexiest thing for the night life, but on a hot summer day, it is pure unadulterated torture.

Temperature where I am topped out at 102F the last several days. When I get into the car, it's like trying to pull something out of the oven with no gloves on. It burns everywhere I touch. If I'm wearing shorts, it hurts. If I'm wearing jeans, it burns.

Oh .. and god forbid I should acidentally rest my forearm on the window area ... that's a serious bummer.

Anyone having the same problem? Any remedies? That is besides moving to Alaska?

put a thermometer in the car and see how hot it gets in there.. probably 120F at least. not much you can do except maybe buy sun shades or DIY with reflective paper.

I was watching the show " I BET YOU WILL" on SPIKE TV the other day. It's a show where they go around betting people to do stupid shit.

Let's bet whether someone will get inside my black CL and stay in for like 30 minutes.

Actually, let's not. That might be considered manslaughter or something.

buy a remote starter and start your car before you get in it to run the ac a bit to cool it down. That should help

Ok, but in reality, if itz HOT itz HOT cant do notin abt that. bcos its a common factor black or NOT.
Now, If u are blck yes given u absorb more heat ok but there are also tint materials that block out some of the uv and heat from getting in ur carso u shud be bettter off with tint than without,
Unlesss u just got some cheap tint with no heat and refective quality.
thtz why ppl tint their cars, tht and privacy.
this is wht i do on a hot day,
I can set my alarm to beep or page me if the car reaches a certain temp so i can choose to remote start or roll windows dwn.
But i normally just remote open the sun roof, yz its hot for a few mins and its all good once i start rolling.
All i am saying is the tint shud be helping u NOT the other way around.
Blck or NOT .....but yz if d color was say white it will probably absorb less HT.

use
good wax on leather seats, get a better quality tint and strip and open the sun roof or roll windows and oh b4 i forget. u can always move to canada...

I've got a cheap non-custom one, and even that makes a big difference...

I've got red/parchment, and I really think the parchment interior keeps the car cooler in the summer...

I'm going with black/black (or blue/black) on my next car tho'...

Window visor is a good idea. Also, I have seen these little fans that attach to the top of the wincdow. you have to roll the window down a bit, obviously, to put the fan in but it has molding to protect from anything(rain, bugs, thieves, etc) getting in.if i remember correctly its battery opperated with a temp sensor. I cant remember where I saw the damn thing though JCwhitney maybe. and yeah get any kind of remote start with the option to have setting for windows. that way you could, even if u dont want to burn the gas, crack the windows a bit before you go outside to get in your mobile sauna. Good luck. if nothing works just move to Cali

Texas...

SSM on Ebony... but 15% tint, sunshades and cracking the windows and moonroof helps alot. I just try to park it in the shade as often as possible.

It's the black leather interior. I have 15% tint, & the inside of the car gets VERY hot sitting in the parking lot in the sun all day.

Cars with light interiors don't get as hot. I also think non tinted cars don't get as hot either.

get ceramic tint all the way around including the front windshield, you can go as light as 70% on the front windshiled and still feel the difference I bet, some of the brands I remember are Huper Optik.

Ventilated seats would kick ass, got to love Lexus for that.

Get Huper Optik tint. I've got it and it's awesome. It's pretty expensive but worth it as it really does keep the car cooler on the inside.

Try one of thosef foil looking visors, and get a small window tint. That should help a bit. Also keep your sunroof visor closed.

turn ur car on and let it sit with the AC on 60 at full blast for 10 minutes. dont get in it until the 10 min are up and it wont b as hot...Being someone who almost every car ived owned has been black on black with leather thats the only alternative. One of my old cars a 98 dodge intrpeid se black on black with leather had no AC. Could u imagine riding around with no AC when its 110F outside and its raining! the worst experience ever

I'm in Miami and I have black on black. It gets really humid here during summer along with occasional rain that makes it feel like steam bath. Thank god for the ice cold AC that comes with this car.

Several years ago I had a friend back in college that had this thing he attached to the top of the driver's side window. It looked like the alarm box thing they attach to a car at one of those high end dealerships to new cars. He told me it would act as some kind of magnet and keep heat out of the car. I have no idea whether the company that made that thing went belly up or not.

Make your own cooling spray,

get a spray bottle, mix 10% rubbing alcohol + 90% water. Spray in ur car when its hot, makes the air cool instantly. If ur steering wheel is hot, spray it with the mix. Will be cool right away.

I hate taking my car to the dealership for service during the summer down here. Everytime they return my car, my driver's side seat is always all the way back and nearly down to the floor and the AC is always on FULL BLAST and dialed down to -50 degrees. LEAVE MY SHIT THE WAY I LEFT IT WHEN I DROPPED IT OFF, FUCKERS!!!
