Headlight Out

My right headlight is out, just flickers faintly. And my high beams are glowing faintly. Can the HID problem effect the hi beams too? Bad timing as I'm going out of town for the holiday and don't think I can get it fixed beforehand.

I did have roadlamps wired in a year ago at a reputable independent shop that specializes on Hondas/Acuras. Do you think the dealer will hassle me on the addon roadlamps, could it be connected to this problem? Roadlamps are still working.

If it's the bulb, I don't think they will give you a tough time. Even if it's the ballast, I don't think they should give you a problem.

well if your high beams are acting up, those are not tied into the HID's. So there may be a wire loose, or a grounding problem. Or maybe a battery voltage issue.

thanks guys, went to the dealer on lunch break, they said it was a bad fuse. lights are working fine now, but now I hear a weird buzzing noise in the car now, radio was off.
and yesterday the car died on me while I was waiting in traffic. I thought I had killed it with the clutch maybe, now I'm not sure what happened.
The battery is about a year old. I have never added any electricals to the car except the roadlamps a year ago.
Planning to go out of town, I need to check it out some more.

What kind of battery?
These are symptoms of a battery going bad.

But a year seems to be a very short life span for a battery. Any chance your alternator is fucked and not re-charging the battery.

OEM batteries suck. I had two die on me within 6 months, and both were brand new. It all depends on the climate where you live. More humidity will shorten the life of a battery.

Ok, problem #2, I put a Pep Boys fuse in and now the left (my left one originally had the aforementioned problem) headlight is not the same color as my right one, basically the right one looks like an HID and the left one looks like a wannabe.

After work yesterday I drove the car, no problems or issues. This morning it was kinda cold (for Texas) in the low 40s, started right up in the carport, no problems. No buzzing, lights work fine. Another mechanic I know at the dealer who didn't look at my car told me fuse #7 goes out occassionally. Not sure which fuse they replaced.

I guess I can call dealer back and ask if they checked the battery out. Other dealer replaced stock battery at like 25k miles about a year ago, could be longer, with an Interstate I think it is. Pretty sad if you can't even get 2 years out of a battery, I know the stock batteries are crap. Mechanic friend told me they have to replace a lot of stock batteries anytime there is a cold snap or a hot snap.

----Sure I'm up for a photoshoot!

I was about to make a new thread about this then found this one. My Pass headlight sometimes will not turn on when i attempt to turn them on. I'll turn them off and try again and same thing. If i open the hood and unhooked the wiring to the ballast, and then plugged it back in it lights up. Any ideas??? Maybe its the same thing. A bad fuse?

I just put a new fuse from the spare fuse compartment and it blew out right away.

Suggestions?
