I'm trying to get some info/opinions on what to do with my headlights.

I've got a White 02 with Black 18's polished lip. I'm debating between either clearing the lights, painting the housing black, or buying 03 headlights.

Which do you think will look the best?
Which will be most cost effective?
Which will be easiest?

i just cleared and blacked out my headlights, it took me 2 days working on it on and off, the easiest part is probably taking everything thing off the car, and putting it all back on, hardest part is removing the old silicone, that shit took FOREVERRRRRRRRR.

if u have the time and the patience then i suggest blacking them out and clearing them yourself. If u rather not paint them then the chrome looks pretty cool with white cars.

That would honestly look sick. Frank with the white 99TL has that done and it looks amazing..

This could be exactly what I do if it looks good.

The only reason I was thinking 03 headlights was to match the black rims and possible carbon fiber hood/trunk I'm thinking about.

But, I could always get new rims and go with the white theme, which would look much cleaner anyways.

The color matched headlights are awesome! I just might have to get a second set and try it out. The only problem is that I love the chrome look.

 

ehhh....................don't actually like it as much as I thought I would.

Will probably either go blacked out for now.
Most likely just buy some 03's and keep the 02's and clear them in case I want switch up rims in the future.

That white painted housing looks IMO. Paint them black or get 03's..

 

I guess this a newb question, but what is the difference between the 03 headlights and the 01? I have a silver 01, the lighter silver. I want to smoke my headlights. But the 03's look better?

SEMA CL been discussed hundreds of times and no, you can't buy the kit anywhere.

 

The '01 headlights where chrome, and the '03 are black. its subtle but makes a big difference depending on the look your goin for. I like how it looks cleared out with just chrome on my silver '01:

I would say get a pair of '03 headlights if you can find a good pair at a good price.

Well as everyone said the actualy plastic housing is an actual for lack for a better work "sparkly" black/dark grey. If you wanted something unique you could go with a lighter gunmetal which would look sick.

And Sun Diego CL-S what part of San Diego are you from? I grew up out there in Rancho Bernardo/ carmel mountain area. I used to open up for the chargers and padres singing the national anthem with my choir.

They did let us chill and watch the games. But we could never really stay for long since it was a school event and we had to be back by a certain time. I used to go to Rancho Bernardo High. I was pretty young so I was just stoked to be down there and meet some of the players. Is it still calle the qualcomm stadium?

 

It is still called Qualcomm Stadium.

I went to Serra High which is in Tierrasanta and still considerably south of RB.

 

Wow yeah it is lol. I miss San Diego so freaking bad. I want to move out there again, but waiting for the rigth opportunity.
