headlight help please - newbie

headlight help please - newbie

2003 CLS - broken headlight assembly on passenger side. Have replacement, but can not figure out how to get to the bolts/fasteners. Please help.

you have to take the entire front bumper off and there are 2 screws sitting horizontally underneath the light attached to this metal bracket + the 2 screws at the top of the light, and one i believe at the side of the light.
Taking the bumper off isnt that hard, but those plastic screws/ plugs will most likely brake (i broke a whole bunch when i did it) so either be very carefull or have replacements ready.

Never would have thought of that, thank you. And I thought that the vette was hard to work on!

I can't believe you have to take the whole bumper off for the headlight assembly. Crazy! I get condensation in my driver side and was thinking of replacing. From what I'm reading it appears that the 03 assembly is different from 01-02?

no it should be the same, 03's fit on 01's direct bolt on, search the threads for condensation before u buy a new light, some people had theirs replaced by acura, and some people made little tools to clean up the water inside, it seems to be pretty common.
