headlight foggy/rusty
headlight foggy/rusty
i just bought a 01 CL-S and the headlight on the exterior seems rusty/foggy. I tried washing it, scrubbing it. and even tried using Goo-Gone and nothing seems to work. Has anyone ever had this problem or now how to fix this? Do I need to replace the entire headlights or is there an easier more cost effective way to fix this? Thanks

A lot of that stuff and a ton of elbow grease worked wonders on my car.
Some people use a sandpaper technique with pretty good results, do a seach on that if plastx doesn't do the trick.
Could try flitz as well. www.flitz.com

worked wonders on my friends 94 sentra...did the passenger headlight with about 10 mins of half-assed work while I was talking to him and my other friend, I took the pic with driver side untreated to show the difference.
Damn, what a difference. I wish I had taken pics but I started mine at like 2 in the morning and didnt feel like taking pics at that time. Do you know how I can fix the airconditioner smell? It smells like crap and its hella embarassing when you got a chick in the car, ya dig?
The other thing is, does anyoen have fading steering wheels? I'm assuming its from gripping the wheel after a period of time, mixed with natural oil and sunlight. Anyone have advice or suggestions on this?
Thanks

Where are you from? You might try some rubbing compound and a bit of elbow grease.
