comptech headers and exhaust good points..bad points? hp gain?

exhaust is useless accept for the sound...headers kick ass, everyone should have them....nuff said

 

In a nutshell.....

Comptech Headers.... about 25-30whp gained... cost around $1k. Very worth it if you have the $$. Keep in mind that the HP quoted is at high RPMs (over 4800).... under that you're looking around 15whp or so..... but still very worth it

Comptech Exhaust.... 1-3hp gained if you're lucky... mainly for looks and sound. Cost around $550-$600. Kind of a lot for cosmetics only.. however, many will argue they fit the car and look the best.....

 

If you were interested in either of these, it would be worthwhile to look for them Used. You could probably save $2-300 of each if you're willing to get a used one.

 

i ordered comptech headers..yay. shits gonna boot... next thing i wanna do is get maybe a injen intake but whats this i hear about "icebox" by comptech

 

The CompTech Headers are awesome. You'll get a big kick in the ass in the upper RPM range. The CompTech Exhaust won't give you any significant hp increase, but looks and sounds nice. I'm still trying to decide whether to get the exhausts or not.

 

No offense Jim but everyone says this but has anyone dyno'd their car with i/h/e?

I sold my Dragers to Erock and I could immediately tell my car was slower and it didn't pull nearly as hard....of course I can't back that up w/anything other than my butt dyno

 

Headers = You go faster
Exhaust = You sound faster

 

 

Just the VTEC sound with the CAI and headers is worth it. But 30ish hp gain doesn't hurt either.
