I just got my 03 cls a few weeks ago, and want to know how easy it is to put comptech headers on it, is there anything special i need to do. And ive been looking for turbos all over the place and cant find any, anybody know where i can look and how much they are?

CT Headers is a perfect fit, you wont have any problems.

If you want a turbo it has to be custom, around $8000.00 Contact Allmotor if you want to go that way.

The only product like a turbo is the CT Supercharger which is pretty sweet.

Good Luck and use the search button too

Welcome. Comptech headers are awesome. The turbo is really expensive. See if you can grab a good used supercharger for now.

What other mods do you have in mind? I recommend a drop and an Icebox.

If you are even seriously contemplating buying a turbo do not get a header; it will just need to removed. A turbo works off exhaust gases and therefore you would need a custom exhaust manifold to house your turbo and wastegate. So your header would be useless. However, if you plan on just doing the basic mods and enjoying your car a little further go for a Comptech Icebox and Comptech Header. Check my signature for some links. Also do you have an A/T or M/T? If you have an A/T do not waste your time b/c the tranny will not hold up under the pressure that a turbo will apply.

Actually we used the top 3-1 piece of the Comptech headers for the turbo kits... it works great. But yeah the other piece will then sit in your attic as it is replaced with the up-pipe / down-pipe to the turbo.

If you are def going turbo, just get the OBX or AW headers.. and use the top part with the turbo manifold. Then again, given the extra stresses (thermal and mechanical) with the turbo, the welds and SS construction is all the more important!

I think what they meant by "what do you have?" was do you have a 6 spd M/T or an A/T?

BTW....allmotor, Bluecls6 and Titand19 all are the turbo autorities if you are ever serious about getting it done, they are the gents to talk to.

Nice set up you got goin so far! Keep up the good work, and lets see some pics here in the photo gallery, we tend to stay away from cardomain as much as possible here

welcome,
B

If you go to the second Generation CL discussion page, you will see that there are various other topics that you can click on, such as suspension and tire discussion, dynograpy and, or course, the photograph gallery.
Use a a photo hosting site (I use photobucket.com) which are really easy to set up, and then copy and paste the image link on this site while starting a new thread in the photo gallery, highlight the link and click on the "insert Image" button which will leave the IMG tags on both sides of the link...preview the post before submitting to make sure it will work, and then submit.
It quite a bit easier than it really sounds, pretty intuitive.
