Comptech will probly last as long as your car when most other brands won't.

Comptech
advantage- fitment, quality
disadvantage - price

OBX
advantage- price
disadvantage - fitment, resonance reported on low RPM

Now gains on Obx headers are reported to be close to Comptech, therefore not significant to justify the Comptech $700 difference. Heck, you can buy 3 sets of OBX for the price of 1 Comptech

Even if you replace them yourself, how much time will you expend replacing 3 sets of headers?

The other issue is cracking. Too many people with faulty welds.

All true but as NSXNEXT mentioned the possibility of cracking is higher on OBXs than comptechs (never heard or comptechs cracking).

I've had my OBX headers for about 16 months with no cracking and the performance is there.

I got my Comptech's for $800 new. Maybe you can get lucky and find someone selling theirs in the black market section. I would even consider slightly used as the Comptech's are very good quality.

This subject has been beaten to DEATH. Do a search. Although when you do that search, you'll find many threads telling of nightmares with OBX quality, customer service, and warranty (or lack there of). You'd be hard pressed to find one thread bashing Comptechs

So, who cares.
I have OBX on AV6, my body's blown AV6 has OBX as well no cracking, just was the fitment issue. If money not an issue CT is the way to go, otherwise even changing OBX 3 times, LOL doesnt bother me if I ever do just 2.

Instead, I wish Borla with quality and craftmanship would step up and create equal-length headers for J motor and I'm pretty sure the price would much lower then CT.
