Headers on a Cl-s 6 sp

I have an 03 Cl-s 6 SP and I just ordered headers.

My question is how hard is it to put these things on?

I had a integra years ago and it wasn't bad putting them on.

On a scale of 1 - 10 what would you rate this with 10 being a supercharger
and 1 being windshield wipers.

Thank

Its not to bad. Some of the bolts can be tough to get off, make sure you soak them a few days before. The rear header just takes time to get it on and off but nothing horrible. Make sure to torque the bolts to the head to spec. Other people will chime in on other way to make it easier or search it has been talked about alot

i'd say a 5. like said already. the back header just takes time as its kind of in a tight location. other than that its just unbolting and bolting up.

it's hard to say. some people might think the wipers are hard. but reall if you have the right tools and some elbow grease you'll be fine. 1-10 (1=easiest 10= hardest) ~6/7. there are some hard to get to bolts and some compromising positions but if you can get past that then you would have done the hardest part of the install. good luck

The hardest part is getting to the rear bank. If you have access to a lift, getting to the back one from underneath is the easiest method. Otherwise, get a thick blanket or something and lay it on top of the block and lay down across it to get to the rear header bolts.

Also, the bolts on the cat are gonna be a biznitch. Best method is to spray 'em with some PB Blaster, let it soak, then get a breaker bar and push with a nice, hard, fast punching motion to break that bitch loose.

^ That's where I had trouble, with the A-pipe to cat bolts. Not to sound cocky or anything but I tend to snap or strip bolts a lot because I have a lot of strength in my hands/arms and I honestly couldn't get those bolts to move at all. I soaked the shizznit out of them and still nothing. I didn't have a torch or a heat gun to try heating them up so I ended up having the headers installed at a speed shop and it was very pricey. It hurt me to have them installed but I really thought I was going to bust up my exhaust the way the attempted install was going.

How much did it end up costing you to have them install it?

I am having a friend who works with mufflers build me a custom exhaust system. and he quoted me 250 minus the mufflers.

My bolts actually had some rust, had to go to a shop and flame em for a bit. Back manifold is the hardest part IMO. I would say a bit more difficult than a 4 banger.

Oh an FYI the supercharger install isn't difficult; it just takes a while.
