Headers

Well, I'm definitely going for the CAI (on it's way), but I'm eyeing the Comptech headers...30+ HP gains sound real sweet to me! How hard are these to install for someone who doesn't have a lift? I have stands, and a jack big enough to lift it on the stands, but how much labor are we talking about here...plus...I'm a little squeemish about ripping apart my brand new car...do most of you have a pro do the install? What do you guys think?

Definitely get it done, man...you don't want to fuck with that stuff...especially without a lift.

I think scalbert did it by himself on ramps. So ask him Also, I think you a need a helper too.

If yoy could do it for less than $150-$175 let a pro shop do it for you.

Wait for the headers untill ProtoType(sp?) Headers comes out. They might be better than the comptechs.

With a compressor and air tools but no lift (just ramps and stands) it took about 2.5 hours tops. Not too bad at all...

Scalbert...the ramps provided enough working room? I would think that you would almost REQUIRE a lift because the headers would be hard to install with just about two feet to work under...

Would an Acura dealership install them with a guarantee? Has anyone done this, and if so, how much did it cost for installation?? Or do most people go to local places and no franchises or bigger places to have the headers put on?

The headers are in three peices so there ends up being plenty of room. I did use stands at the rear and ramps up front so it did give a bit more clearance particularly when working near the A-Pipe attaching to the catalytic converter.

fukkin guy let me down.. so im still "headerless"...
lesson learned... "never get too excited.. until u see it or have it in ur hand"
