To Header or not to Header???
OK,I am getting bored and need a new mod. For those of you that have put headers on your cars - is it worth it? Yes, I have read the dynos and the reviews, and they all state that the day after the headers were installed everyone was a happy camper. But, what about now. Would you all do it again? Worth it or not?
Thanks,
David-

Where is my super sauce?
The majority of gain is in the upper end of the RPM band, so for everyday driving in traffic it doesn't do much (nor did I expect it to). That being said, you definitely can feel the difference in acceleration that goes into VTEC and beyond. Accelerating onto the freeway is great fun.
There is really no negative, except for the hit to your wallet. They sound good - the exhaust/engine note changes a tiny bit, but in a good way, and it doesn't get any louder. The luxury stance of the CL Type S is maintained -- this is not a ricey thing.
I'm happy with it.

No. I paid to have Jens and the folks at PAA do it.
I understand that it's not that hard of a job with the right tools (air wrench, socket extensions) and a friend or two. People here have posted anywhere from 2 - 12 hour self install.

Cool thanks. I am thinking about getting the headers from Dean since none you guys are interested in parting with yours... I may just drive up and have his guys do the install as well. I have zero access to the proper tools though it looks pretty straight forward.

I had the CT intake and headers installed at the same time by an Acura dealership. So I can't speak for just the headers gain. But the two together really increase accelleration above 4500 rpm. Car makes a sweet sounds (a little more grawl) when I get on it, but still sounds close to stock in normal driving.
I am very pleased with the result - quality/performance/sound - money well spent.

I would do it over again x4...
look for used CT headers... paid $650.00 for mine w/ only 6000 miles on them... bought them from a guy on the v6performance.com site (formerly the accord site)
Or just go w/ the obx or stone headers.. save some cash .. deal w/ the resonance.. ahahhahahahahahahah!!!!!
love the headers though, very noticeable startingn at 4800 rpms... intake helped me out a lot
