Header Install in Dallas/Ft. Worth
Can anyone direct me to a shop in the Dallas area to install Headers at a reasonable price. I have received quotes of $400.00.

Hey Brywood. I'd ask in this thread for DFW installations. I had my headers, spark plugs, springs, and sways installed at CTC Motorsports off N Central Expressway. $400 for all 3 installs and they did a flawless job. It's definitely not the most impressive shop so don't expect GM Goodwrench to meet you at the door. ![Chuckle](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/chuckle.gif)

Header install in DFW?
Hey man, I had Goodson Acura in Irving install my comptech headers for $230. They even gave me a loaner car at no charge. Call the service dept (972)554-8702 and ask for Susan. The staff there are wonderful compared to Vandergriff on I-20. Enjoy

As far as the sockets, what type of extensions? Straight, elbows, lengths?
Otherwise is seems like the biggest PITA is breaking the bolts initially.
Also DeezNutz, did you do your headers, and where in DFW are you?
Thanks

I don't think the work is tough, it would be a weekender, but i don't have the jackstands or ramps to get the car up. As for the sockets, I have the same basic set as every one 6mm to 15mm, but I keep hearing about how tough it is to get the back manifold off. Didn't know if anyone has an easy method. Called Intercrew in Richardson and got a 150 quote, yeehaw. Finally, someone who recognizes that with pneumatics and a lift, this is not that damn tough.

Yes, the back manifold is kind of tough, but if you have two people it surely makes it easier, one over the engine, the other under the car.
