Hey guys, i have read some where somex or another on different methods to resolve this issue. I have a fugly headlights frm road dirt, gung, yellow , insects or whtever.
Its not looking very beautiful if u no what i mean.
I remenber reading on some post on using wet sand paper but i am a bit worried on messing or scratching a crap out of it. (i am usually hard on things)

I have read ppl say use, toothpaste, use 200 grit sand paper or ....

I just need to know wht u guys hv done in similar situations, pls i definately am nt trying to buy some new headlights ... NO No that is out of the question.

just need to buff or mk it look like new again.

i hv found things like use :
Meguires PlasticX

Plexus Plastic Cleaners

Tarter tooth paste
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated....................

check out this thread, he did it pretty much the same way i did. I started with 400 grit sandpaper, then moved to 800 and then 2000 and finished it off with Meguiar's plastic wax. it worked out pretty well for me.

3m makes a rubbing compound that works really well. I usually wetsand my headlights but i used the rubbing compound yesterday actually and it looks just as good to me.

Saves a lot of time over wetsanding and then polishing

Meguires PlasticX is what I use. I bought micro fiber round applicators and used clean terry cloths to buff it off. I apply it evenly with the micro fiber applicator and then use the other side of the applicator to work it in. Use the terry cloth to buff clean. I used it today on all my lights. Tried it on my buddies 03 maxima and it worked very very nicely. Found everything at advance auto for under 8 bucks. Don't be afraid to work it in. I have found doing it twice is sometimes needed to get it close to perfect.
