Hi ppl, I think this is a general question, so i posted here, maybe i have posted this Q before already. my car is a first gen. Anyways, this happened quite a long time ago, but i just thought about it the other day.

One night, I was trying to start the car, and for some reason, the rpm jumps up, and then goes up and down lke crazy, and i tried to pump some gas, no help, evetually, the ignition is off. i tried about three times, finally, the car is started. I think my fuel was low, and the placei parked is inclined a little. Was that the reason ? AS soon as i get to a gas station, I filled up and everything is back to normal.

Can anyone explain the problem for me ?? Would this have damanged anything ?? possibly ?

You could have grabbed some air in the fuel lines. Nothing would be damaged in the process so if all is running fine now, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just try and keep at least 1/8 tank at a minimum.
