...thought a car was ugly in the pics or in the commercials, but when you see one in person you actually like it?

Well, I'll did. I always thought the Z4 was the ugliest damn thing I've ever seen. I like the Z3 style and have driven some (mmm ///M ), but I'd never seen a Z4 up close until yesterday.

I took my dad to the airport and after he checked in I headed back out. I go down the big ass escalators and a brand spankin new while Z4 is sitting down below in the lobby. So I smooze over there and have a looksee. Wow, this car looks MUCH better in person. I actually liked it. The inside was nice too. I really love the roadster cars, I want one as a second/summer car.

I also saw a MB CL600 w/ these sweet AMG wheels in the parking lot. V12 proudly written on the front quarter panels...

 

hated the 350Z, saw it in person...and now I own it.

Z4- LOVED it in pics.. hated it in real life.

I actually didn't like the CL at all in pics on the website, I was more into the G and 330. I liked it when I saw it, esp. in the darker colors, and here I am.

 

i would bet the same thing happens to lot's of people, especially w/ the new bmw models.

 

Uh... no, Matt. I really don't like the Z4, the 7 series or the new 5. The M3, 330CI, 330CI Convertible, yes but not the new ones.

We gave away 4 Z4's in a sales contest last spring. None of the winnders, none of them, kept the car. All took money instead.

 

This is very common, esp. w/ the bmw models as matt pointed out. My dad and I use to talk about how much we just hated the new 7 series. Sure enough he has one in the driveway now.


I make it a point to never judge a car from it's pics, I always wait to see them in person.

 

CL's look like crap in pics (unmodded 4x4), but in real life.. DAMN

 

I always thought the CL looked crappy in most pics, but i love her in person

 

I used to hate the 1st gen CL, thought it was ugly as hell, hated the rear end styling.

Now I own one and I love it!!!

I still think it's fugly w/o the rear wing...it smooths out the trunks and keeps it from looking likes it's a downhill slope at a ski resort.

 

I actually think the spoiler takes away from the great look of the car and i usually love spoilers.

 

I also hated the CTS when it came, but now i really like it, specially the CTS-V, thats just a winner in my book.

 

I've seen them up close. :thumbsdn: I don't like any Caddys tho, to me this one looks even stupider. Can't argue about the engine tho...

 

They look like complete trash in photos and in person.

 

I've seen the Z4 and it still looks like poop.
