I personally like the way the rear looks on the CL. I opted for no spoiler. My last car didn't look good without it so I got one (nissan 240). It's purely cosmetic.

I beg to differ! It provides much needed downforce to the non-drive wheels

big improvement; i've never been sorry i got one on mine. Factory is nice, but you can probably do better than dealer price...

You either like it or you don’t.
It’s not a decision that should be up to anyone but YOU if you buy one or not.

Spoiler = Sportier look

Non-Spoiler = Classier look

I stayed with the classier look

Tastes great... Less filling...

I got one because my previous car didn't have one and I was in spoiler withdrawl. I'm still happy I have it, but it does add an extra five minutes to my Zaino time... :P

It sure does look nice but that extra weight can slow down your 1/4 time. LOL

The good thing about our CL-S's is that is looks great with, or without a spoiler. I've always loved the way they look with, but my '02 did not come with one, and I still love the "naked smooth round ass" our cars have. Very sexy...of course I'm imagining a woman's naked smooth round sexy ass when I say that!

Does it bother anyone that the spoiler is not painted at the same time as the rest of the car

Not as long as it matches.

I like the looks either way but will probably get one again since it makes it easier to backup. (marks the tail nicely)

Do whatever turns you on--it's a personal thing. Personally, I think that the styling of the rear end of the CL is the best thing about the car and I wouldn't do anything to detract from it. Also, I have a feeling that in about 10 years people are going to view this as a fad and wonder what we were thinking.

Here's are some pictures of an aftermarket spoiler from www.spoilerdepot.com on my car.
HERE
HERE AGAIN
LAST ONE

Even though I have a spoiler, I really like the way it looks without one. The car looks more elegant & classy. It really depends on what look you want. If you want sporty then get the spoiler. If you want to have a classier look then don't get a spoiler.

Decisions, Decisions

EricS,

Why does a vehicle need downforce on non-drive wheels ?

I don’t know what’s with the rollseyes, but maybe if you provided more information you’d receive more targeted responses.

What color are you getting? Will you be putting on bigger wheels or lowering the suspension? Different configurations can make the spoiler look better or worse.
