I could do a Sunday sometime. Or M-F after work.

Yeah im familiar with the gains provided from headers/intake. I want to do my suspension and brakes first because that's what my car needs atm. The brakes are bad on all 4 corners, I need 2 new axles, and the suspension has been modified and the car does not sit at stock ride height. It's higher than normal, the previous owner had tein coilovers on it and didn't install the stock springs correctly.

I gotcha... are you doing coilovers again or springs and new shocks? How much of a drop are you doing? I think my next mod is gonna be the H&R OE springs, haven't decided on the shocks yet.

Yeah, suspension is gonna be my next upgrade/mod. I'm thinking about going w/ Tein Basics, cause I like the comfort of the stock suspension, but want the car to sit a little lower. Any opinions?
Oh, and we should maybe set up a place and time to meet up. Seems like Sundays would be the best days for all of us.

On my TL-S i've done H&R's on stock shocks, perfect drop but the stiffness sucked, car was way too bouncy and I didn't get that stiff feeling I was looking for, maybe because the shocks had a few miles on them. I had NEX coilovers after that and I absolutely loved those, most would say that the ride is very harsh and stiff but I loved it, if your looking for the absolutely stiffest i'd go with the nex's. My car was also lowered more than the H&R drop. My next setup is going to be springs on high performance shocks just because I don't want to shell up the cash for coilovers again and because camber was a issue when I had the nex's, I had about -2 degress up front, not practical on the tires.. There's a few CL/TL spring ads on craigslist and i've e-mailed a few but no response yet.

Sounds good, Sunday I think I can make it, just let me know a time. I live in the East Bay, so I don't know where is best to meet. Should one of us post a thread for all Bay Area guys? Maybe we should push it out an extra week. Let me know.
As for lowering, I am torn between the OE H&R drop and the Sport H&R drop. I guess some people need a camber kit with the Sport and others don't. I was thinking of doing Tokico Illuminas for shocks, but I am truly a newbie to all of this stuff, so any input would help!

I'd go with the H&R sport's for sure, they are about 200~ ish on cardomain shipped. 50103 is the part number. Pretty sure you won't need a camber kit, if so theres 1 or 2 people on craigslist selling front and rear kits. Myself im going with comptech springs on koni adjustables. 300 from a guy in alemeda. I just got done ordering R1 Concept rotors front and rear with ebc redstuff. About 280 shipped. All I gotta do after is get front axles and than i'll be on to headers next.

I hope this weird feeling disappears.

id say the awkward feeling went away for me after 5 months haha...it only gets better but its frustrating at times.
the dealer put in a syncromesh into the transmission without asking me during my 30k mile checkup a week ago. technicians said it woul clear up the jerking problem which i didnt even complain about. i'd say it did do a little justice for the car and u may want to ask about it at the dealer

I'm still getting use to the transmission on mine. Much more work then your typical Honda or Toyota transmission. If you wanna learn, drive an old 4-cylinder 5-speed Ford Ranger. They have the most unforgiving transmissions around.
