Has anyone else gotta a similar E-Mail from an Acura research group?

Got this today....What do all of you think...is this legit...or is this some scam? I would like to know...because it would be really cool to give Acura a piece of my mind as far as a new CL, Etc is concerned....

This the actual e-mail I recieved...

Schlesinger Associates is National Market Research firm located in the Galleria area. We conduct focus groups, which are round table discussion groups, led by a moderator who initiates conversation within the group. We are conducting a focus group on Thursday June 17, 2004 at 5pm for respondents who own Acura's. The group will last approximately 2 hours and the topics discussed will be about automotive issues. We are not selling anything, we just want your opinions. After the group is finished, we will be pleased to offer you an cash incentive of $75 in appreciation for your time and insight.

If you are interested please call Jason at 972-503-3121 ext 412 and mention Acura Two.

The same place that credit card companies and heath insurance companies get my father's name and send him mail at MY apartment over 30 miles away. So weird. The majority of my bills, bank statements, etc. still go to my parents house too (still considering my mailing address) yet somehow I get mail addressed to my father at my apartment everynow and then.

The man is watching us

I've been to things like this before. You got paid to bullshit for 2 hours. They even fed me cookies and soda.

Easiest $100 I've ever made.

Do it; easy money to give opinons about Acura's. You will be talking for over 100k people (statisticly)
Good time to input for what changes you'll like to see on Acura's. They will also show you what other car co have in they pipe line. Great chance to see the future of acuras. I did this with Fords before the Epedition came out and with Lexus before the GS400 came out. Sometimes they would film us for their body language experts to analyze. It's a lot of fun. If your smart you can act out stuff but be careful they know when your faking it.

just be careful they dont make you sign a non-disclosement type of contract. My moms did market research for 20 years, specifically focus groups, and always had the participants sign forms.

Do you “old timers” remember similar talk several months before the 6-Speed was officially announced in late 2001?
Some lucky members even got test drives in the prototypes.
I still say Acura reads forums like this to snoop on its customers. That's a good thing.

Tell them that all your friends are leaving Acura because they don’t have a 2-Door vehicle worthy of replacing their aging CL-S.

Then create a new account on here as “DarksithCL-Spoiler” and spill the beans.

Yes, they were testing the CL-S manuals around Torrance; I even got the request to drive one, and had a buddy actually get paid to drive around for an hour.

How bad can that be?

BTW, I forwarded your IP address and location to your dealer and they are all set for your next service (j/k) :P
