Has anyone actually weighed their CLS???
Has anyone actually weighed their CLS???
I'm looking for an actual confirmed weight for a CLS with a full tank of gas, completely stock car (stock rims, spare tire still in trunk) without a driver. Preferably this weight would be from a weigh scale of some sort.
I am currently testing a datalogging accelerometer from Race Technology and want to test its HP calculation.
Thanks,
Brent Maksymiw

High Voltage, I have the performance meter from Race Technology too, I'm just gonna put the weight listed in the manual plus passangers and other things in the car.

I don't have a truck weigh station close to where I live, so I was hoping _someone_ on this forum would have wanted an accurate weight of their car and actually weighed it!
I'm guessing the manufacturer listed weight will be 100 to 200 pounds out. My ZX-9R has a listed dry weight of 407lbs. I had it weighed at a race track (200 miles from here, so no, I haven't taken the car there) and it came in at 480lbs!
Oh well, the grain elevators around here have certified scales since they are used for purchasing grain. I'll have to convince an elevator manager to put my car on one.
F.Y.I. the AP-22 performance meter from Race-Technologies seems to work very well. With an accurate weight, CdA, and rolling resistance, the HP curve for my bike is within 1-2HP of actual dyno runs. However to get this accuracy, I had to get the CdA and rolling resistance from motorcycle mags as the 60-55 and 15-10mph tests did not result in accurate drag coefficients resulting in VERY inflated HP figures.
