welcome to Azine clsmiami03! always remember young padawan, "search button" is your new best friend...this swap has been discussed back & forth and i can recall not too many were successful or were able to actually do it. Of course, I could be wrong (wouldnt be the first time nor the last) so though it is a possibility, it requires quite a bit of $$$$, good knowledge of what needs to get done/installed/fabricated/etc etc etc, and an extremely big list of parts...

i might be getting a 6 speed TL this summer. If things dont work out like I want them to, then I just might end up doing it.

It shouldnt be hard at all, and now that there is a guy making modules to make things plug and play it should be even easier and much cheaper.

A few TL's & Accords, I don't remember an actual CLS being swapped.
I could be wrong though.

Well...what if you bought an 01-02 CLS when there was no 6 speed transmission?

Anyways...would there be any special conversion issues on the CL-S?

Is that the reason maybe nobody has done it?

Isn't poisx about to do this?

partially wrong, you must not check the TL forum

there are 3 active members on the TL side with 6 speed conversions and 1 in the process of doing it, 2 just straight 6 speed swaps and 2 3.5/6 sp swaps

nothing needs to be fabricated, its just a long list of parts and a big wad of cash

Well, if you bought an 01-02 when the 03 6spd wasnt quite yet out, I don't think there would be any 6spds available.

But i get what you're saying

Probably the best idea.

I've seen one go for 9k down south, 12k with 60k miles.

They are def comin down in price.

As opposed to spending 2-3k for the swap? Not every one can just run out and buy a new car.

That's assuming your car can be sold. Add 2-3K to the sale price and buy a 6spd. Probably faster and easier to do it this way.
