In the past 2 days my car has struggled to turn over. Seems as though the battery is on it's way out. Pulled the voltage from it to see if the alternator may be bad instead. 11.63v when turned off and 14.8v when running. Looking like a battery in this case right?

 

take it to autozone or advance auto or some other parts store and ask for them to do a battery load test...
They will tell you if the battery is dying.

 

Do they still do those for free?

 

i know autozone does... they say it in their commercials..
Advance I dunno. I kinda boycott them due to some issues a few years ago...

Got an appointment at my dad's cousins shop for later today. Trust them to verify it more then someplace like Autozone (the discount is nice too).

Other weird thing is that the doors lock themselves when I drive now since this has started happening. WTF?

 

Turned out to be a bad battery. Replaced and all is well again. Should clear up the weird door lock issue too.
