This happen to anyone else?
its kinda off topic but i tried to play the new eminem cd in the stock hu but it gave me an error i think it might be cause of that "copy protection" crap anyone else getting this? btw it is the real cd the a burnt copy
Did you try taking a SHARPIE pen and going around the outside edge with the black ink??? You might want to try it in other CD players first, maybe it is a bad disk. The black sharpie trick will defeat the copy protection so you can play it in your computer as well!!!
Yes...there are a lot of problems with the current newer copy protection schemes used on several of the newer CDs...
My recommendation is to return the CD for an exchange and then if the second one doesn't work, return it and demand a refund. Since the copy protection scheme yeilds the CD unusable in your player, you are entitled to a refund and don't let them say you can't return it for refund because it was opened...the manufacturing/copy protection system is flawed.
Now, why don't you take that CD back and get some real music

no i havent tried the sharpie thing but it works in every other cd player except the one in my CL plus if i return it i cant really say the cd is defective cause it works everywhere except for my car if i do return it they probably will try it there where it will work fine and be assholes

If you are OK with that CD not working in your car but working elsewhere, then it's no big deal. With me it's more of a consumer thing...It should be manufactured to work in your car cd player! There was a discussion about this on one of the consumer radio shows about this - that by returning the cd as not 100% good it sends a message to the recording industry that they need to come up with a better system. If you do decide to take it back, mention that there are problems with the copy protection schemes not working on some cd players and you can show them by trying it for them in your car. If it was purchased from a large store/chain then I am sure they have had other customers with similar problems.
Here is a link that has some info on how the new copy protection schemes work and also comments on them not working on some "high-end" and car stereo systems:

Wait, so is it burned from a real cd or is it the origional, I don't understand why a real cd wouldn't work in our cd player. I have a burned copy of that cd and it works fine. All I know is that I can't use certain types of cd-r's in the player. TDK cd's dont work very well, but sony, pny, and imation work fine.
