i heard there's a handle on the inside of the deck-lid that u can use to pull it down to avoid smudges on the perfect Zaino'ed trunk...do the later models have these?? cuz mine doesn't

 

Mine doesn't have one. Wouldn't you have to be inside the trunk for that to work? Otherwise, you'd have to pull your arm away before the decklid hits it.

 

It's not really a handle, it's the black tab in the center of the trunk lid where it locks down.

 

I beleive that came out on our cars "late" last year.

 

My car was purchased in April of 2000 and it has one. Go to the bac seat an open the pass through. With a flashlight you should find a small black faap of plastic hanging down toward the rearmost part of the trunk, pull it and the trunk opens.

 

i'm thinking about using thick wire-ties to make a handle to close the trunk. lately i've just been using the black latching mechanism, but that gets difficult when your hands are a little slippery.

 

mine has a backward type small shelf behind the latch, i use that

 

The early production models, the ones with first gen cupholders,
didnt have this feature.

I use it all the time and never really close my trunk any other way.
the handle also glows in the dark in case someone is trapped in there
