Does anyone know if the CL guages are the exact same as the TL guages. On the TL forum, Nate is trying to setup a group buy on ordering new guages. They look pretty cool iguess, since its something different. My main problem is that the stock guages dont light up enough. The Lexus ES series and GS have amazing guages. They are so bright i swear they have a huge flourecent bulb behidn there. But anyhow, Here is the link to the post.

Also does anyone know how guage overlays are able to get the electricity to light up? I see a wire hanging from tehre, but where will it hookup to for power? THanks

Are you comparing the two cars in general or from teh picture at the link? Because the picture was just an example ofhow it wuold look like. Thanks! Oh also i guess in this case, would the CLP and CLS guages be teh same too?

Actually DUH, never thought about that.
I am sure we can find 50 buyers. but then again the TL board is HUGE compared to the CL and they are having problems getting 50, although over 65 have emailed saying they want them. I jsut compared a picture of the TLS and the CLS, they have hte same guages, I guess now the question is if they CLS is the same as the CLP and the same with TLS and TLP. I know when i took my guages apart, i did have all the proper lights needed for the CLS, they simply removed the bulb on parts where the CLP doesnt need, for examply, i have a bulb where the TCS is, and the CLS has it on the VSA.

First... those guages are BUTT ugly. They look like VW guages... their not indiglo at all.

I want Lexus GS style guages... or true electrolumincescent guages like on a ES. (Which aint possible to retrofit)

Second... the TL board doesnt have more TL members then we have CL members.

I am with soopa on this one.....those gauges are just plain NASTY.

If someone could make one that resembles the GS gauges, then I would be interested. Those things look sweet and they look like there is a HUGE light behind the gauges.

Another thing......How many of you guys are willing to pay in advance for a product from Taiwan? What's the chance of ever even seeing the gauges?

That's the part I couldn't understand. Why didn't they just sign up [on paper] and set a deadline to ask everyone to pay up only after they hit 50 committed? $80 is not that much but no sense in wasting money on nothing (no refund). Anyway, we'll see how it turn out.

Yea it does look risky, just wanted everyones opinion. I guess i am solo on this that teh guages are ok..I of would prefer the GS guages but thats never going to happen. Im just tired of my guages. And remember im coming from CLP guages, not the CLS guages. if i ahd the CLS guages i wouldnt bother touching it. But i do wish i could have something that i can see at night. I have so much problems reading my guages in teh day and night.

WAIT A MINUTE!!! He has a CL-P, and CLP gauge is the same as TL, CLS has higher RPM, but CLP are the same as TL.... Don't mis-lead him yall, hehe.... As far as ugly or not, thats a personal prefrence, someone might think its good, someone may not!
