I've seen bigger on a porsche, although that pic doesn't give you a good idea of just how big the wing is. I still love the 911 turbo wing the best, but people that buy the GT3 could give a damn about the wing.

the reason that its called rice on a import is because its a non oem non fuctional POS wing not a factory functional wing like this is, that aside i still like the gt2 wing better but this one doesnt look bad or ricey by any means

 

sorry guys, but i call it like i see it. looks like rice to me. there's plenty of functional porsche wings; no need for this ugly redesign. I love porsches btw; which is why I was so dissapointed at the looks of the rear of the gt3. I never said it would influence my buying decision either way if I was in the market for one however. I mean, it is what it is, but lets be honest guys, even if it were functional, if this wasn't a porsche, many of you would have agreed with me on this one.

Welp the car is beautifal. I'm not gonna it's fantastic just because it's a porsche. I prefer the old wings which retracted but i just like when the shit folds out when you hit a certain MPH

 

To make you feel better Zeroday, I think the wing is nasty. I would have it removed, and replaced with a smaller one if I ever bought a GT3.

if im in the market for a rediculously fast, incredibly rare, amazingly exclusive sports car the GT3 looks like all other porsches, gotta go for the stand out. i saw a GT3 the other day and thought it was a turbo til i saw the badge. i mean thats taking it down visually in price by like 100k! no one would mistake a lambo.

 

The Z looks like it was made for ricers. I guess if the wing is the only thing ricey on the porsche, then the other 95% of the car is class.

I am not crazy about the wing myself. It's functional, yes I know. Not ricey but I think it sorta detracts from the look of the car. I love the GT3 though and would get it if I had the $$.

Eclipse - IMO, calling the Z ricey is one of the most ridiculious things I have ever heard, but again, opinions are like....

 

dude, chill...Ernie doesn't like my GT1's whatsoever, but i'm not throwin a hissyfit over it...really, i like the Z with the spoiler a ton, and i personally don't think it's ricey

the Z might not be ricey, but the rear strut bar sucks...and the door handles are HIDEOUS.

 

What are you smokin' crack or somethin'? No car Porsche has in its stable represents the value, performance or style this thing has. No car.

 

The GT3 is has the highest specific output (100hp/liter) for a normally aprirated production porsche EVER. (although the GT will better that when it comes out).

This months Excellence magazine has a decent write up on the GT3.

The wing, while it serves a purpose (not like the wings ricers put on stock engine civics) gets a IMHO, but then again I'm a fan of the ducktail spoiler

No decoration on a porsche? OK lets take an inventory of some of the 'performance enhancements' they offer on these things:
Leather interior, carbon fiber door sills, carbon fiber center console, Aluminum 'LOOK' package, 17 different available colors, painted brake calipers complete with porsche logo...I could go on and on. Don't kid yourself, porsche spends quite a bit of time designing their cars to be asthetically pleasing...which is why I was dissapointed by the salad bar they stuck oin the gt3.
