GS430 lip spoiler

I was searching and came across a favorable comment by "Rondog" regarding the GS430 lip spoiler.
I was wondering if anyone had snapped any trial pics with it on a 2nd. gen. Looked at it on spoilerdepot.com but couldn't visualize it on a CL.

I don't believe anyone has tried anything different other than m5 lip spoiler and oem spoiler. Not that I know of anyway.

I was thinking the RS6 lip spoiler, but I don' twnat to drop $300 + paint to experiment :*(

Rondy and I tried the GS430 spoiler. It does fit, but requires a little bending in the center to allow it to conform correctly. Cool thing is that is matches the cutout for the rear logo perfectly.

Anybody got a pic, example, illustration, or sketch? I've seen the car, but I never payed much attention to the spoiler. The car is pretty as hell though.

It was a test fit, we were actually screwing around at the shop and put it on the car for laughs. Then our faces went straight when we saw it fit perfectly

Rondy was telling me about this

The 2006 GS lip is the same for the 300 and 430. I went to the dealer and they want $700+ tax for the real deal. I bought a replica for $140ish at http://stores.andale.com/directcartoys.
The only thing is that the Lexus lip is more flexible. Im having it installed in about a month along with the RJ kit and RJ inspyres ITS GONNA BE SO SICK!

here are some pics of the day I got it in the mail. Its going to need to be bent and drilled to stay on there. You might be able to use 3M tape if you buy the Lexus one but who wants to pay that kind of money.

see how it needs to be bent on the corners to perfectly fit the car... it looks much better then the small M5 lip

Hmm, actually looks alil' bigger than the m5 to me.

Replica for $140 though? =/.

Any chance juniorbean can get these for a better price? =P

edit:Seems like that corner'd be kind of a pain in the ass to bend down though. Is that really going to stay on the trunk w/ a lil' 3m tape?

Please disregard everything I said about the bending and the tape and all. I don't read

Its bigger than the M5. You look at the car from a distance and you can barely see the M5 lip on the trunk. This lip has nice styling instead of a flat speed bump-type look, and has the perfect curve for the Acura emblem just like NiteQwill said. I'll have pics up when everything is complete.

F'reals.

And Type R, any pictures or anything of the fitment? I know you wanted to try the scion spoiler and or RSX-S spoiler awhile ago.

Edit: And my mistake, there is no LED on the spoiler. Scions just have that weird reflector material stuff on the back trunk.

Also, the scion one doesn't look as clean as the m5 and gs one... definitely would have to see it on the car.

too wide...hangs over about 1 inch on each side so it would either have to be cut or attached like a three peice wing like the mugen lip spoiler for the 99+ TL

the GS lip needs about a half inch on each side to touch the end of the trunk ( i just measured) but its ok because it tappers off. The GS lip is angled on the sides, unlike the M5...so when its painted and installed it will conform to the trunk. I like the look of the M5 lip ALOT, the GS lip will be alittle bigger and sits lower on the trunk pretty much sitting right on top of the Acura emblem (and its got the indent for the emblem so you cant get more OEM looking than that).

There has been several times since i bought the GS lip that i think to myself that its going to look stupid being too short but then I bring it out to my car and I think its going to look just fine. Its impossible for me to sit the lip on my trunk and step far back to get a good look. I need 2 hands to hold down both sides.

Like I said before, it needs to be straightened out and screwed on to stay....fcuk it, im going to take the risk and install it. If it doenst look right and bothers me ill buy another trunk and get the M5 lip.
*hopefully that wont happen, nah that wont happen lol

a 3-piece decklid on a CL sounds quite intriguing...

Just put two pieces of masking tape on each end tight to give yourself a better idea. Don't worry, it looks real good, I remember.
